Accounts Receivable/Collections

Getting the money in from customers, especially if you are a small business owner can be a daunting task.  The prime focus is on finding new opportunities, and to continue providing top notch customer service to existing customers.  My strongest expertise is in Accounts Receivable, as a Senior Credit Analyst. Understanding how difficult it is to get and keep a customer, I use sound judgment, diplomacy, and negotiate with customers to achieve a 'win-win' outcome. It can be very difficult for a small business owner to make the sale and then collect the money as well.  Therefore, many tend to procrastinate contacting the customer for invoices that are past due for fear they will lose the customer.  I continually keep the business owner updated on any problematic accounts and give my opinion on what the next steps should be.

  • Collection of past due invoices
  • Customer account reconciliations
  • Expedite resolution of debit memos deducted from customer payments
  • Minimize bad debt losses by closely monitoring customers through follow up collection calls, noting changes in payment and buying patterns
  • Application of customer payments
  • Cash flow forecasting
  • Investigate creditworthiness of new customers and continually update credit information on existing customers
  • Monthly reporting of DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), DSD (Days Sales Delinquent), A/R turnover and to provide comments on the status of delinquent accounts
